Driving is the most flexible way to reach Albac, allowing you to enjoy the scenic mountain passes. The primary routes are:

  • From Cluj-Napoca: Take the DN1 / E60 south toward Turda, then follow DN75 west through Câmpeni directly to Albac.

  • From Alba Iulia: Drive northwest on DN74 through Zlatna to Câmpeni, then switch to DN75 to reach Albac (around 95 km total).

  • From Oradea: Head south on DN76 toward Beiuș and Ștei, then transition onto DN75 heading east through Vârtop Pass to Albac (approximately 130 km total).
